Our neighbors built an ice skating rink in their backyard this winter, but unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) the warm winter has given them a pool instead. This weekend was freezing cold, so the rink froze enough for the neighborhood kids to enjoy.
Here Ian is - ready for his first ice skating adventure.
We walked around the edge a few times and he really liked slipping around. Fun time was over when one of the grown ups stepped on the ice and it cracked. I'm guessing we'll get another crack at it as it's supposed to be 7 degrees tonight.
